This is an amazing Italian wine, a great example of what good wines taste like.

On the nose is deep and well balanced with fruit (mostly dark fruits), mocha and spice notes.

Castello Banfi, Sangiovese Italy

Wine: Castello Banfi
Producer: Castello Banfi
Region: Brunello di Montalcino
Country: Italy
Colour: Red
Year: 2007
Grape: Sangiovese
Supplier: Red Apron
Price (VND): A
Points: 67/100
Pairs well with: Pasta and read meats.
Notes:
This is a famous brand that however disappointed me even after tasting it three times.
With very ripe cherries in both nose and palate, with added oak in the palate, the wine fails to impress: too much alcohol, not enough length and a bit acidic, which makes me think this wine will benefit from being kept for another 2-4 years.
